WARTON TYPHOONS AGAINST RACISM

In light of several recent high profile allegations within the English Premiership, Warton Typhoons FC wish to re-iterate our "zero tolerance" approach towards racism.  This approach is set out in our Equality Policy, which has a much wider remit than racism and states that:

"Warton Typhoons, in all its activities, will not discriminate, or in any way treat anyone less favourably, on the grounds of gender, sexual orientation, marital status, race, nationality, ethnic origin, colour, religion or belief, ability or disability. It means that WTJFC will ensure that it treats people fairly and with respect and that it will provide access and opportunities for all members of the community to take part in, and enjoy, its activities".

This policy applies to everyone associated with Warton Typhoons (including players, coaches, parents/spectators and committee members), and is in respect of any dealings with players, parents/spectators, committee members, league officials, sponsors, suppliers, and anyone else whom they come into contact with while representing Warton Typhoons.  

We would like to remind everyone that should a person wish to report any suspected discrimination (including racism) which occurs within the club, they should approach either the team manager or the Warton Typhoons Welfare Officer directly to discuss their concerns. 

If, following investigation, there is evidence that racism or any other type of discrimination has occurred, the Club will immediately take action against the individual(s) involved;  this would result, as a minimum, in asking the individual(s) to leave the club but may also result in further sanctions being applied, depending on advice provided by the Lancashire FA.  

TOGETHER, LET'S KICK RACISM OUT OF FOOTBALL.
